Decontruct
Change The Status Quo
.
Leadership that breaks barriers — and builds the future of construction.
The UK construction sector is under pressure like never before. Skills shortages. Rapid innovation. Mental health crises. Retention struggles. And beneath it all, a glaring truth we can no longer ignore: We will not meet future demand without more women in construction. Yet for decades, we’ve focused on policies, posters, and tick-box exercises — without shifting the mindsets that hold progress back.
.
Deconstruct: Change the Status Quo is our answer to that challenge. It’s not a workshop. It’s not awareness training. It’s a bold, research-backed leadership development programme built for the construction sector, by the people who live and lead in it every day.
.
This programme has been 18 months in the making — shaped by direct feedback from site managers, directors, HR leaders, and women in construction who’ve told us one thing loud and clear:
.
“We don’t need another lecture. We need tools. We need insight. We need change.”
‘
So, what is Deconstruct?
Deconstruct: Change the Status Quo is a four-part learning experience that helps managers and leaders in construction challenge outdated thinking, recognise unseen bias, and lead teams in a way that is inclusive, practical, and performance-driven.
.
It combines the power of Motivational Intelligence (MQ) and Emotional Intelligence (EQ) to create genuine, lasting change — not just in attitudes, but in behaviour, communication, and culture.
.
It’s designed to:
-
-
Shift deeply embedded mindsets about gender, leadership, and team dynamics
-
Empower leaders to act with intention, empathy, and confidence
-
Build stronger teams by helping individuals understand one another better
-
Create workplaces where women and all underrepresented groups don’t just survive — they thrive
-
.
Why it matters now
We can’t continue to lose talented women to burnout, bias, or a lack of opportunity. We can’t afford cultures where great people don’t feel like they belong. And we can’t build the future of construction if we’re still leading with the habits of the past. Deconstruct goes deeper than surface-level training.
.
It tackles:
-
-
Why the gender gap exists — and what it’s really costing your business
-
How unconscious bias shows up in everyday decisions — and how to change it
-
The mindset shifts leaders must make to create safe, high-performing environments
-
What collaboration looks like when inclusion is more than a slogan — it’s a lived value
-
.

A catalyst for change — not just a course
We believe that real inclusion doesn’t start with HR. It begins with leaders — site managers, supervisors, forepeople, and directors — who are willing to lead differently.
.
That’s why this programme isn’t about awareness.
.
-
-
- It’s about action.
- It’s about helping leaders shift how they think, speak, and show up — so the people they lead can thrive.
