Thank You!

Now, we have a working definition of “what is leadership”  and how a person develops their ability to lead, including the underpinnings of what creates a successful leader. This includes the importance of belief in human potential, a drive to help people, strong values, virtues, and traits, the awareness of how to develop people, and the optimal set of characteristics that make up a great leader.

I would encourage you to continue to update your START, STOP and CONTINUE plan on Pages 53 to 59 in your Roadmap Workbook. This live document will be the cornerstone of creating your personal and professional development plan.

The Start-Stop-Continue (SSC) plan is a straightforward yet powerful framework for driving personal, team, and organisational growth. It helps individuals or teams determine actionable steps to enhance performance and meet goals.

Like all great managers and leaders, we need to reflect on the following:

  • What do I do well as a manager or leader?
  • What am I doing that’s not aligned with who I want to become?
  • What can I do differently to ensure I am congruent with what I say and do??

“Leadership is not just about holding the reins; it’s vision, driving change, embracing new directions, and inspiring others to journey with you. It demands you to shed the cloak of comfort, face the winds of change, and ignite the beacon of possibility. As leaders, let us not just chase goals but nurture growth, not just drive performance but awaken potential. So, step forward, embrace change, and let your Leadership light the path to greatness.”
